Graduation

On December 19 Jessica graduated with her associates in General Studies. I am not very good at taking pictures so I didn't put any of the pictures up. Luckily I got a video of her walking and collecting her diploma.

Our Apartment!!!!

So we signed for our apartment Monday and have it now!!! We are starting to move things in and Daniel will start living there end of the semester. We are pretty excited about it. It is a 2 bed 2 bath, with a garage.... well half of a garage of us really.. but that's great!

This is the second bath. The one with a shower! lol Still makes me laugh that the one main bathroom doesn't have a shower. It's back by the kitchen.

Also back by the kitchen is our very own washer and dryer!!!! Yea!

We are trying to figure out what we will put everywhere to fill the apartment... like the kitchen is HUGE! Tons of cabinets, and room..... quite the lovely kitchen... :)

And a fireplace... i don't know how much we will actually use it, but we have it and it looks cool....

This is our large living room..... yup.. we have tons of space and storage.... :D

And the dinning room, family room, kitchen in the background..... All the good stuff...

This is the Second bedroom.... or will be known as Daniel's Office.. I'm so happy we were lucky enough to get an apartment with 2 bedrooms.... I really wanted to have a room for Daniel to have an office! :) And now he gets one!

The major bathroom with out a shower... lol goofy.... but it has lots of space.. a big vanity and lots of storage... Like the rest of the house.

Master bedroom.....Which is quite large...

So all in all we are super excited to have this apartment and super lucky. cheaper than anywhere else we were looking/finding and much more space... We can't wait to be all moved in... Lucky Daniel gets to start living in it before me.... hummm..... oh well... I'll be there too soon enough!

To Utah!

This weekend we took a little excursion to Utah. A very quick one. We left Saturday morning and came back Sunday. The busy life of college students and an engaged couple. We did find me shoes to wear with my dress......My sister-in-law is hemming my dress for me! She is amazing! Plus we were able to see much more family.

Oh Yea! My shoes! I know, different, but what can I say.... haha

He Calls it..... Blue Steel.......

We have a good picture of us!!! It is so hard to get Daniel to be in pictures... the goof.

Speaking of goofs...

Ok...... so we both are....

Talmage, Kimball and I in our coats! Kimball didn't want to wear his.... He is a little California boy, who doesn't like coats or snow.... he's a 2 year old with quite a mind of his own.... Plus he loves to try to show up his older brother.

Daniel and his new nephews. It was quite fun to introduce him to them.

Talmage loves snow. He, unlike his younger brother has seen snow before and doesn't find it so foreign.

Talmage loves his new coat. He would keep saying, "This thing is going to drive me nuts!" But he wouldn't take it off, or unzip it. This is how he kept walking around the house until we left for church. Kids are so cute and funny.

Kimball, in comparision to Talmage, is quite a different cookie. He doesn't like his new coat, and doean't like that white stuff called snow. Sometimes he is much more serious... but when they start beign goofy and havign brotherly love.... he's another kid. Gotta love those two.

So our weekend was quick, but fun. We were able to see lots of family and enjoy lots of time together. Enjoy your week!!! :D

The New

So we haven't posted anything for a while...... So I wanted to write something, though it won't be too exciting. I was sick for a week. I finally was able to go to classes Wednesday. It was a good thing that there was a weekend in there, or I would be very far behind.
Daniel was able to hold off on the sick front, until Wednesday. But the lucky duck was only sick for 2 days. Though that is good, I hate to see him not happy.

We are both busy with homework and all sorts of school. Along with wedding plans, life is busy.

Well my attempt at a new post is looking sad. Unfortunately our life isn't all that exciting, though neither of us can complain. We are very content with life right now and enjoy how the days pan out.

We hope that everyone is doing well. We are excited to see family in a few weeks in Salt Lake and Reno. And then see everyone in January!!!

Some Engagement Pictures

There are always things to make you smile... especially when you have found someone you want to spend eternity with! So people have been asking about engagement pictures so i decided we should put some up so everyone cold see. These are ones I like at any rate... I duno if Daniel shares that.. well there are a couple in here I know he doesn't like as much as I do.... but oh well.. I'm the one writing this.. hahaha

So I hope everyone enjoyed those. Neither of us like pictures, but we were able to just be us and Kara took pictures of us being us. Which is awesome because it captures how we are.

So all is well with us. School is going well and wedding plans are going fabulously. Of course we find time to enjoy ourselves once in a while. This weekend we drove to Pocatello. Daniel and his brothers go mountain biking and Daniel needed to go at least one more time before it snows..... yes, he needed to.... I wanted him to, and he did too. We enjoyed time with Anthony and Rich, mom, Ed and Ashley and the Kids. Time is flying by and January 16 is coming up!!!! I know at least 2 people who are excited.... ok several people who are excited. :)

US

So I referred someone to our blog today and said that it had answers to every question you could have.... but then I realized that that's a lie. We have most of the wedding planning etc. on here, but not really anything about us. So here is some info on each of us.

Daniel is 20, a month and 20 days older than me, and is here at BYU-I. He is a Computer Science major. He has 3 semesters left after this one. He works full time during the summer and part time during the semester at Scientech, a nuclear engineering company. He does programming for the programs they write for testing. they design and implement computer control systems for nuclear power plants. They are one of the 3 major companies! He has 9 siblings, a few of which live in the area. His mom and stepdad live in pocatello, and his dad lives in Reno,NV.

Jessica is 20, also here at BYU-I. I am a Microbiology major. I have about 4 semesters left after this one. I have 4 siblings and my parents live in Manson, WA. My "cool" thing right now, besides planning the wedding, is that I am doing research under prof. Hunt at the school. We are working on tests to find data to be published. So it is quite interesting.

We both love riding the motorcycle, though now it is way too cold to be riding. :( We like rockclimbing, camping, movies, walks, and doing things of different sorts. daniel also goes mountain biking with his brothers. They love it.

So I hope this answers some questions about us. Oh one other thing people usually ask, is how did we meet. Daniel's friend Cami was one of the girls in th apartment I was always at. So it was because of her we meet, though we didn't really know eachother until the end of the semester when we did a group breakfast for conference. Hope everyone is well and is as excited as we are for the wedding! 13 weeks and 2 days!..... but who's counting... :)

Planning, planning, planning.....

Life is great. Plans are coming together and I get to cross things off the list all the time! I love being able to feel like I've accomplished something during the day! Plus, everything that gets done is one things closer to the wedding!!! yea! We are keeping busy with school, wedding planning, etc. Though Daniel has much more school work than I, but we still get time to plan and time to spend together. Wedding is in the air! :) Life is good and we hope everyone is doing well also.

One Thing at a Time

So I wish I could just say here we go, done! But it's not like that.. sometimes it is hard for us to sit and go through things one at a time and get things done throughout the week, but it is nice when we do get to cross something off the TO DO list, no matter how small it is.
This weekend we finished one more thing! We took engagement pictures! We drove to Twin Falls to meet up with Daniel's friend Kara, who took our pictures. Neither Daniel or I like being in pictures, but it was fun. We were being us and Kara was laughing at us most of the time too. :)
So there is one more thing done. But there is still lots to be done. Receptions, wedding dress, tux, announcements...etc... sigh....... good thing we have lots of help from family and friends! Thanks!

Little Change

So when we talked to the Temple yesterday, we found out that they didn't open until 4pm that day due to the previous day being a holiday. So with it being a tuesday during the semester etc. that didn't work too well. So our wedding will actually be January 16, 2010. :) This way we can have a morning sealing and do a lunch with both sides of the family. It will work out much better. I am super excited for it. Also super excited that we are going down to Reno for Thanksgiving so I can meet family! I'm super excited to meet them, especially after all Daniel has told me! Well that was a little tangent.. oh well..... so that is the change we have made. Until the next entry, hope everyone is doing well!

Tid-bits

So just little pieces of info. We are still working with families to come up with a location and date........ sigh, the joys of being engaged..... So no date yet.
As for things we do know- colors! Technically the colors are Midnight blue and a dark red, but really it's a dark blue, lighter than navy blue, and a deep red. I'd personally like all the red to be gerbera daisies, but they are hard to come by in a dark red, not to mention in the winter! oh well.
We also know........ nope, we don't know anything else.. lol. colors are about all that has been decided. Though we are doing pictures this weekend and Daniel is designing the announcements! What a talented guy I'm marrying! :)
So we are working on it and hopefully we will have a time and place! That will be exciting! I'm ready to know that! Then maybe I can finish the rest of the plans......
Till the next entry....

The Engagment Story

So 2 background stories first. Daniel and I started Dating when he came to pick me up and bring me back to school. One night we were talking and Daniel started a story. there was this guy and this girl and they liked each other and he came to pick her up....etc.

Secondly, we go for rides on the bike when we can and often go out to the wheat fields outside of Rexburg and look at the sunset and stars and talk. One night when we were doing this Daniel played music on his phone and we danced out in the middle of nowhere under the stars.

So the actual story...... Tuesday night Daniel wanted to go for a ride. So we went out and rode around for a while and headed out to the fields. We looked at the stars and talked. Then Daniel decided to play music, and we danced and talked... then as we were talking he said... there was this guy and this girl and they liked each other and started dating. then they fell in love and started a new chapter in their life. Then he knelt down on one knee and said, Jessica Elizabeth Ewing, will you marry me? Of course I said yes, as evident.

So there is the story.

The other question I get asked a lot is if I picked out my ring or not. Yes I did. We went to Idaho Falls for a show at Kay's for a specific designer. I found the setting/band I liked and then we got to choose the diamond to go in the middle. I wanted a flat or flush ring and was able to work with them to get one that I liked. Then they put it together, which I got to watch most of that. But I didn't get to see it in the end.. so I picked it out with Daniel, but didn't know what it looked like until I got it.

The Ring

Jessica's family wanted to see pictures of the ring so here they are.

Our First Post

Jessica and I were engaged September 22, 2009. She can tell the story sometime soon (she tells it better than me). We have decided that we will blog our lives together and everyone who would like can follow it. And we will get pictures of us as a couple up as soon as we get some that we both like.
