A very Good Weekend

So this weekend Amy opened her mission call. Annie and Tekoi and their kids came up. It was a lot of fun. We did Mexican for dinner, and then got ice cream at G's.

Vance, Fern, Marsha, and her husband came. Along with Annie and Tekoi and lots of friends.

This is Amy and her boyfriend, Hans.

Annie and the family stayed the night with us. It is so exciting to have my own house to invite people to come and stay. I love being a hostess in my own home! :) Saturday morning we hung out and then walked around campus. Annie and Tekoi hadn't been up here for about 3 years.

Saturday after Annie and Tekoi left, we went to Idaho Falls with Allen and Jenny for Sushi! Well they ate sushi, I am not a very big fan of it. So I had a salmon salad. yummy! On our way home we stopped by Archer to find Bongart's grave.

It was a great weekend. We had tons of fun. We hope all are well and enjoying life. :) Much love to all!

Camping!!!

So this weekend was amazing! Full of fun and adventure. First, Friday we went camping! it was tons of fun! We drove up to the forest past the Temple, for those of you who know Rexburg. Which is South East from Rexburg. We didn't get as far back into the woods as we would have liked, but there was still snow on the ground and lots of mud.... so we didn't want to get stuck. But we found a nice little spot back in from the road. So here is our campsite. Daniel dug us a very nice fire pit and we did tinfoil dinners.

For dessert we did Peach Cobbler in our dutch oven!!! We have been super excited to use it since we got it for our wedding!

So camping was super fun, though it is very cold at night still.... yea go figure there is snow on the ground. So we packed up and came home early. To our nice warm house and nice warm bed.
Saturday then, we slept in, and ate doughnuts while watching cartoons. Then we unpacked everything, showered and then went to the Temple! It was great! We haven't been for a little bit 'cuse Daniel has been super busy. So it was great to go.
Then after that, we came home and went for a ride on our bikes. We rode around and visited Allen, which then we all rode our bikes down town to do dinner. Then we came home and where worn out from all that, so we cuddled up and watched Star Trek. I also rubbed Daniel's back, which was supper sore from wielding the axe to cut the wood.
So it has been a fabulous weekend being able to spend time together.

Hope everyone is well and is having as much fun with life as we are. Much love to everyone!

May Fun

The other day Allen, David, Sarah, Daniel and I made a fire and cooked potatoes and steak. It turned out very well, and was very yummy. We also roasted marshmallows.

Mother's Day Joye, Grandma, Ashlee, Lexus and I did the Mon n' Me 5K. It was pretty fun. While we did the 5K, the guys cooked a really great prime rib dinner.

It was great fun, plus Daniel and I took the motorcycle down! It was beautiful weather and tons of fun. So the weekend was fun! Happy Mother's Day!

News From Rexburg

Well, Well ,Well. Can't say there is a ton to update everyone on. Life is pretty chill.Work, school, senior project, etc. And yes senior project is both of us, I help Daniel a lot with it. Setting up to take pictures, bouncing ideas off of. I love seeing what he is doing and all that he has accomplished. So the other night we were working on senior project, and I had a break while Daniel was writing some code, so i sat down and took a jab at comics. Here is what I came up with... and my family might recognize this situation.... :)

"did you wash your hands?"
"yes"
"oh, I didn't hear the faucet turn on"
"Oh, the lake dried up. There wasn't any water."

Yes that was me. and that's how it happened. I didn't want to tell my mom and dad that I hadn't washed my hands, so I said there wasn't any water..... well needless to say the possibility of a 51 mile long lake drying up, not too high. Didn't get away with that one. :)

Next up: Collages
So our friend Allen works in the Art Gallery. So we get to hear all about what he is working on. We know who is showing when and so forth. Well now that he works there and tells us this, we try to go to see "his" work. So see if he did a good enough job setting up or not... lol but Allen himself is a great artist, though he doesn't admit to it. Well the Artist they were showcasing did some collages. And since the show I have wanted to try my hand at collages. Here is what I came up with.

They both are layered with 3-d.. well raised at least to give them depth. This first one is books and a lamp, then the gray books on the right raised, and then the window raised twice as high as teh books. I printed everything out and used an exacto knife to cut them out. the windows in this one were a pain, but worth it in the end.
This one is just different buildings out of pictures i liked. As you can see the space needle is there.3 of the buildings are raised in this one. you can't see it raised in the picture very well, but in person it is pretty cool.
We have been out bike riding. Nice to have a mt. bike up here now. We rode around for a while the other day and stopped out at the nature park. Ducks are still there.
So it was all nice.. then it started raining, and then twice we had hail.... and then today it snowed!!! Arrgh. It snowed maybe an inch or so. It is all gone now, but it was a bummer to wake up to snow in may when it had been super nice. But oh well. I went with Daniel to one of his classes.. so I had the privilege to walk across campus in the snow and wind again.... yeah.. didn't miss it.

And then here are some pics of Daniel, Lexus and Madex. We went to help with a computer problem. But it was good to see the family.

So all is well with us, and we hope with everyone else too! Much love from the Ranallo's! :D
