Newest Project.

Well if we have done enough work for the year, we are not done. It seems that we just keeping going and doing one thing leads to another and gives up the excitement and energy to work on the next project. At this rate who knows what well have done by the end of the year!

so our newest project is outside. we are replacing our fence between us and our neighbors. They have been wanting to do it for a few years, but don't have truck and I don't think they would be able to. So they paid for the materials, and we are doing the labor. They are quite impressed with our work. :) So we have torn down a lot of the fence and placed and cemented 5 of the new metal posts. we have a couple old posts to pull out.

our quick fit to keep the poles flush while drying the concrete
our poles

The fence was quite rotten. taking it down required a quick hit with a hammer and it falls off. then collecting it and stacking it. didn't take too long.
These are our free trees we got from the arbor day foundation for being members. So we have 4 white Dogwood trees(which is perfect, i wanted a dogwood outback!), 2 crape myrtles, 3 Eastern redbud trees, and 3 goldenrain trees. so until we figure out where to plant them and fix it up they are planted in pots. They won't be there too long... the pot size will help us make sure we don't let them stay too long in it. :)
They come bare root and dormant... I think this was 3 or 4 days after planting them!
I should have taken one more picture before downloading my pics. our bushes after 2 weeks are quite green! This pic was at about 1 week and a couple days.

My basil and avocado plant!!! I am so proud of them!!!
One night I ended up coming home with 2 orchid plants! they are still alive after about 1 1/2 weeks. :)
My wild flowers from the many by the freeway.
With all the rain we have been getting we have more wild flowers along the freeway than normal. It is so pretty though!

and of course our puppies... well dog and puppy almost bigger than dog. lol Nova is quite the character. She runs into doors, walls, couches, boxes and stairs... but it doesn't bother her. she is bouncy and loves attention and playing. defiantly a German shepherd. Very High energy.

Propane had just come in from outside and had a huge smile on her face! :)

Oh projects Galore!!

Alright.. Lets see if I can remember all of the projects we have done and have been working on recently....

I finally got teh second coat of red paint in the kitchen. Then I touched up corners etc, and the grey and the kitchen and informal dinning room are alllllllllll DONE!! Whew so much paint...

Below is our current on going project. We bought window film that blocks UV and can cut your electric up to like 60% or more.. and where it is sunny here in the summer... :) So it is on a big roll and you cut it accordingly. There is a clear cover on the sticky side, and you spray the window, and both sides of the film with a special application solution, put it on, squigie it and then trim. Then spry and squigie again.
We have 2 rooms done....... :) lots left. it takes a little while, but it's not too bad to do. But it's really a two person job.

The left side has the film and the right side is plain still. With all the windows done in our room, you can't tell there is anything on the windows.

Oh what a spoiled dog. She LOVES the bed!!! She is in this phase of always being on the bed upstairs if she's inside... silly dog.
Nova is loosing her baby teeth and we found one inside one night! :)

If we haven't painted enough recently here is what I painted the other day.... Our Pantry/Laundry room!!!!! Yes, Green..... bright green! :) Right now it is the one wall, but it looks good. Daniel Was a little worried but, he likes it!

Last weekend we planted our sticks... lol we bought hedge bushes from the arbor day foundation.. and got them in the mail and now they are planted.. they are shipped dormant, and bare root.. But when we planted them it was raining.. and we were quite wet when done. So I hope that They grow just fine and get pretty.

We also got a free red maple with our purchase. We are undecided as to where it will end up. Then today we received some more trees from them! Free ones!!!!

Luckily I wanted a dog wood in our backyard, now we have 4 white flowering Dogwood trees, 3 Eastern Redbud trees, 3 Golden Rain Trees, and 2 crapemyrtles. Hummm.... where to put everything........

Ummmm.....Trees, bushes, painting, painting and more painting......... Oh we did get propane for our free grill from craigslist and used it to grill steak the other day!! yummyness. :)

so yes.. i think that is it... It has been busy and fun though.
