Alrighty I've go lots to cover in this post, so here it goes. Tuesday April 12, I had an upper endoscopy. Which is when they knock you out and stick a tube with light/camera down your throat and look at your esophagus and stomach. And we found something!
All of my insides there were inflamed and irritated, of course from all of the throwing up I have been doing, but we found I have Hiatal Hernia; which is when your stomach pushes up through your diaphragm into your esophagus. This then causes your Sphinx to not work. So when I lay down my stomach acid can slosh right into my throat because my sphinx isn't there to be closed to keep it in my tummy. So we are fairly certain that this is my problem. So I have yet another medicine to take. Omeproazole, which is an acid reducer delayed release tablet. I take it 30 min before eating every morning.
Along with this is a diet change. Staying away from:
fatty/greasy foods (fried),
chocolate
Acidic fruits, grapefruit, oranges, pineapple, and tomato sauces. :( Less Italian cooking for me
So between all of this hopefully here in the coming weeks i'l be doing much better.
Next: I went in for an eye exam finally, and got a new pair of glasses! I rather like them. So here I am in them.
I've also been Scrap booking pictures I have printed out from various things and decided they needed to be fixed up. ( I don't know why the blog does this, I take the pictures regularly and they get turned around when I upload them... grrrr)
This spread is Elder Derek Hess' Mission. Derek is a close friend of mine from college, that I also wrote on his mission. He sent me lots of letters and pics.

I had little things from trips that I don't have pictures for yet..... :) My first trip to Ghirardelli square and San Fransisco.

Daniel took me on a date to the Idaho Falls museum when we were dating. We rode the motorcycle down to the exhibit, Titanic, which was awesome. Then we went to Red Robin for dinner! yummy

These are a bunch of pics I had of family. I found more yesterday too! I don't have everyone sadly, so one day i'll have to do a really nice one with everyone.

Then this. Last week I was looking for a recipe and ran across my recipe for molasses bars. Yup, "the" recipe; the one i got from mom, who got it from her mom, who got it from her mom, nicked named Bammy. So I bought some molasses and raisins, and made me some nummyness.

Oohh! Those molasses bars look yummy! I haven't had them in forever! I love you glasses - they look great. And I guess your medical news is good and bad... good in the sense that they finally figured out what's wrong! Woohoo! Bad in the sense that you have to limit more what your eating...and the yummy things too. All I have been craving lately is grapefruit juice and anything tomato, so I don't think I would be able to survive on your new diet. Good luck!!!
